LaHave 101 for New Campers!

Whether you're counting down the days til your return to LaHave, or you've been meaning to check us out and have yet to - now is your time to shine! ✨ We are now accepting 2025 bookings! ⛺️

For those that are new to our space, we know you have questions! We've created this little LaHave 101 Guide to assist you in knowing what to expect and planning for your future stay. Here's what you need to know... 🔍

Firstly, you should know that we are a small family owned and operated business. Unlike provincial parks, we rely entirely on the support of our campers. So when you bring your business to LaHave, know that it's what enables us to continue to enhance this space for for everyone to enjoy. 🙏

That being said, please bear with us. 🐻 Our campground needs a lot of loving and we work hard at it 365. But we cannot change everything overnight. Will your wifi connection be perfect? No. Will your site be as perfectly level as at a provincial park? No. But let us tell you what makes our space so special...

It's our ✨ warm, welcoming and inclusive community. ✨ Our quaint camp hosts 90 campsites, approximately half of which are seasonal families. They're the backbone of our community, and you can expect to be warmly welcomed in by us and them alike, and included in all ages events and activities.

Now if you aren't looking to socialize, you don't want the noise of sold out weekends and the shenanigans of events - no problem! We highly recommend booking your stay for a weekday. That's when we can offer you peace, quiet and much more space. 🌳🤲

If we haven't lost you yet... 😉

When it comes to choosing the campsite that is best for you, here's what you need to know...

  • Unserviced Tent Sites: Highly recommend for anyone tenting! ⛺ Our flattest, most spacious grassy sites are a touch removed from the rest of the camp, with sounds of the river below them. Very peaceful! There are 3 sections with 3 campsites each in them - T1-3, T5-7 and T8-10. This means that if we are sold out, you will have neighbours directly beside you. If we are not, we'll move you to whichever section has the most space - i.e. weekday camping could mean having a whole section to yourself! These sites are ideal for large families or groups looking to have some space. 👍

  • Serviced Sites: There are 3 sections of serviced sites at LaHave. 🚌 1 - Pull Thrus: If your RV is over 25 feet, you'll need a pull thru site, offering water and 30 amp service. We only have 5 of them and they book up fast! 2 - River Road: Great for RVs 25 feet and tenters that don't mind a gravel base, these sites offer water, 20 amp service and proximity to swimming holes. Really nice foliage around them, and when water levels are high, a stream runs directly behind. 3- Mill Hill: These sites are raised up on a small hill, in a grassy and wooded area, offering water and 20 amp service. Forewarning of a modest slope for drainage purposes, and that 55-56 and 58-59 are double lots, perfect for camping side-by-side with friends and fam.

  • Tiny Cabins: These simple, rustic spaces are an awesome way to simplify camping! You can show up to a roof over your head, a bed to sleep in, and some basic amenities like a fridge, microwave, 20 amp power and water. 🏡 They each offer the same things, but considerations here when booking: 4, 14, 43 and 51 are on the main level of the camp, with 52, 53 and 54 being raised up on a small hill (perfect for families camping together). 4, 43 and 52 have screened in porches, and 14 is on the water (4 across from it, 43 on a stream when the river is high).

  • Rental Trailers: Hang tight here! We're currently in the process of selling our rental trailer and acquiring two new rental trailers. Follow us on social or subscribe to our newsletter to find out when these bookings open. This is a great option for folks that do not have their own trailers but wish to have the RV experience with a well stocked rental. 🚌

You can scroll through updated pictures of our different site types on our the Camping page for visuals. 📸

Once you've made your booking, you'll receive a reservation confirmation email from Campspot outlining your trip details. 📧 Read through and sign off on our terms and conditions, please. There is an option to pay against your balance online, but know that you can pay with cash, debit or credit at check-in.
